Fascinating glow in the dark Hoberman: always within reach!

The glow in the dark 'Hoberman mini Sphere' is always within reach and is used a lot in my children's practice. That's why I'd like to tell you more about it.
The 'Hoberman Sphere' is a great foldable ball and is a favorite with both children and adults. This ball owes its name to its inventor and shape. It was invented in the 80s by the American Chuck Hoberman and the word sphere means spherical object. By a scissoring movement you can enlarge and reduce the ball.
Children are always amazed as they fold and unfold the Hoberman. That such a small ball (the mini is 14 cm folded) can become so much bigger (30 cm unfolded) is truly fascinating. They fold it in and out again and watch with wide eyes at what is going to happen. Some children immediately investigate how it happens, others find the folding and unfolding exciting enough.
In my practice I use the Hoberman at different times, for example:
• overstimulated or restless children, watching them fold and unfold in a certain rhythm has a calming effect
• make quiet children more alert by throwing and looking at the patterns in the Hoberman
• breathing exercises
• children who need to sit or lie down quietly for a while
• eye tracking movements
• practice focusing
• throw it over, catch it at the right moment
• throw and catch to relax in between
• throw up and catch yourself
• question and answer games that combine your cognitive and motor skills
• in boot camps, during assignments
The bonus of the glow in the dark Hoberman is that it can be thrown around in the dark... very exciting!
I am very happy with the Hoberman in my practice and use it daily.
