Toys42Hands gave me the opportunity to try both the Kooshball and the BuschWuschBall.
try.
These two balls may look very similar, but they are different enough that I want to write something about them.
? What they look like: The BuschWuschball (BW) is the same size as the Kooshball (KB) but the
The wires of the BW do fall over when you put it down. You can see this in the photo. The KB keeps its shape better. That is why I find the KB more beautiful to look at and also more attractive to grab.
? How they feel: The BW feels rough and dry. It is less elastic than the KB. The KB can be sprung on 1 thread, with the BW this is more difficult.
Because the BW feels stiffer, it is less stimulating. This can be an advantage if you have less
looking for stimuli, but the BW rolls back and forth more easily through your hands, and is much more stimulating, and therefore less likely to become boring.
With the KB I can fiddle and play much longer than with the BW. The BW is only fun for a short time for me.
? How they smell: Both balls have a chemical rubber smell. This can be stimulating for people who like to smell things, so it is nice to move the balls around your mouth and nose: you feel the stimuli better with the BW because it gives softer input.
These balls are not really suitable for people who are bothered by odors.
How sturdy are they: not a single strand of either ball has fallen off during the two-week test period
loose, even with intensive use.
So I am happy with my Kooshball because it feels great. This ball provides concentration and
stimuli to relax, and as a transition step to another activity, or in a waiting period.
I would recommend the BuschWusch as a play ball, for example to throw at each other. Then
more subtle stimuli are not as important as with a fidget object.
Have fun with the balls! Greetings from Leonie
