Clear your head with the hoberman

Sometimes you buy those little gems for your practice, that are really worth sharing. In my search for all kinds of balls I came across it. It's called the 'Hoberman Sphere'.
At the presentation 'Help! My head is full!'
I took it with me for the first time yesterday to my presentation 'Help! My head is full!'. It was also very positively received there. Both by the children of my colleague, who were still there when I started to display my materials, and by her partner who helped me connect the laptop to the television, and by the people interested in the presentation. Everyone is impressed by this fascinating piece of plastic.
De-stimulation
In practice I use it for destimulation. If you move the ball very calmly in and out it reduces stress/tension. I see restless children become very calm from it. The recurring pattern works almost hypnotically.
Motivation for dreamy children
On the other hand, it can also be used for children who need stimuli. By moving the ball more actively, you are stimulated by the motifs that the ball shows in motion. This can make dreamy children more alert.
Practicing abdominal breathing
I also use the ball when practicing abdominal breathing.
1. Breathe in deeply for four counts -> Make the ball as big as possible.
2. Hold your breath for a moment.
3. Then you breathe out calmly, for as long as possible -> In doing so, you slowly let the ball become smaller again, simultaneously with your breath.
Throw, roll and catch
Of course, he's also just really fun to play with...
By throwing, rolling and catching the ball changes size and therefore appearance. That alone is a wonderful experience.
