Indispensable touch wall for toddlers, preschoolers, in daycare and practice!

Feeling wall
This beautiful wooden touch wall is on my desk in the practice. It is a real eye-catcher. The touch wall looks attractive. The appearance invites to play and experiment.

Material
The tactile wall is made of wood. A blue, cloth bag is mounted on the back. The tactile wall consists of three separate parts. The package is delivered in a small, flat box. The tactile wall can therefore always be conveniently stored, without taking up much space.

Method

Different materials can be put in the blue, fabric bag. For example, 1 or 2 items of each item can be put in. The possibilities are very diverse. For example, you can put more or fewer items in the feel bag.
Place some items in the feel bag and have the child count out loud.
For younger children it is fun to put objects in the tactile bag and have them name them. A nice exercise for vocabulary.

Arithmetic and spelling
I use the tactile wall in practice to practice arithmetic and spelling. For example: take two tactile numbers and make the plus or minus sums or the multiplication or division sums. Another idea could be to take tactile letters and practice spelling that way. Difficult sounds, such as oe and eu, can then be found in the voezak between a number of letters.
The material is used to work on school skills in a playful way.

Writing and fine motor skills
In my practice I use this material to practice writing and fine motor skills. For example, the child can search in the tactile bag for two identical shapes or two identical structures. This provides additional training for the component of shape and the sense of touch.
Also for children who need more practice to work on lateralization. Then you can have the children search for the same object with both hands at the same time.

Concentration, focus and cooperation of brain hemispheres
While working with the tactile wall, concentration, focus, cooperation of the hands, cooperation of both hemispheres of the brain, practicing the sense of touch and memory are improved.
But the most fun is of course the playful element in all these educational exercises. At my home, the children use the tactile wall to put the Rummikub stones in it.

Game
The tactile wall can also be used independently by children in a group or class. They can give each other different assignments and check each other. Let the children practice with tactile letters, tactile numbers, different shapes and different materials. Very good for vocabulary and language development.

Advice

In my opinion, this touch wall is indispensable in every toddler group, (nursery) class, childcare and practice. The material is sturdy, looks nice and is very inviting. Children automatically put their hands in the holes provided for this purpose. The material can easily be put away by the children themselves. The senses are trained and the memory can be practiced. In short, let the imagination of the children and yourself run free.
