Holiday fun: in your own garden with river stones

A year ago, Sinterklaas bought our daughters the “river stones” at Toys42hands. A big expense, but we are still grateful to him. Because our girls and their friends have had so much fun with these special “stones”. Our girls were always busy with our Ikea steps. They were used as a stool to sit on with a bottle of water or in front of the TV. In a row behind each other, it was an exciting game to step from one stool to the other and jump from the last one.
The river stones added several additional challenges.
The tops slope slightly, which means you have to keep your balance well, which is not allowed with steps... the river stones are stackable, which creates fun, challenging height differences.
Now that the girls are ready for real fantasy play, the river stones are increasingly included in their play in different ways. Both inside and outside.
At other times it is a road over a wild river or a river with crocodiles.
Then again they are stools to sit on at a self-made tent or for a picnic in the garden. The girls often use the river stones in combination with our rings of the "Twister hopscotch".
The relief is experienced as very pleasant by the ladies, because usually the shoes and socks are taken off immediately. The river stones fit into each other, which leaves a small package when they have to be put away again.
Because we use them often, the stones are usually within reach. But when we need the space, we store the river stones in the sturdy carrying bag that is included.
