Sensory Box: The Smell Puzzle Ice Cream

Have you ever thought about making a sensory or senses box for children? I have! And I have also put together these kinds of boxes with clients. One of the senses that I always came up against is smell . The number of senses that we know varies, depending on how you work with it. For a senses box for children, I use 5 senses in this case: hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and feeling. 
The categories hearing, seeing, feeling and balance are well filled in my webshop. Depending on the dimensions of the planned box, you can always find something here. Tasting is also not that difficult; that is something that has to be regularly replenished in such a box ;) 
But the sense of smell ... That's another story! It's quite difficult to find something that is both hygienic and suitable for children who can play with it independently without making a mess. Luckily I have now discovered a super fun new item : the Smell-Puzzle-Ice-Gums .

For my webshop there is always an extra requirement: motor skills. And this material also meets that requirement perfectly. The set consists of four erasers that really fit perfectly in a sensory box! Erasers are already popular because of the cuddly material and the nice sensation to fiddle with. I still remember that from when I was little! And they are soft, but not so soft that you can easily press them.

This makes it possible to make all kinds of creative ice creams: from a super long to a very short one! Children will enjoy themselves for hours creating their own "ice creams" and improving their fine motor skills in the meantime.
