Giant (bouncing) water ball
From Tanja of webshop Toys42hands I received a Giant Waterball filled with colored balls. Although the word 'giant' might suggest otherwise, the ball has a diameter of 10 cm.
Shifting pressure across the hands helps with...
This makes it a comfortable size to move from one hand to the other. This gives a pleasant feeling because the ball is extra heavy, unlike a ball filled with air. The ball rolls and moves easily between and over your hands due to the smooth surface. Due to the weight of the ball, you feel the pressure shifting over your hands. This can help you not to be distracted when you want to think about something or have to listen to something. You then, as it were, grab that ball again. It seems strange, but when thinking, listening or doing another activity where you do not have to use your hands, shifting pressure over your hands helps to keep your thoughts focused. It seems like a kind of 'dam' to place your thoughts so that they do not wander further.
Viewing pleasure
In addition, the water ball is also fascinating to look at. When the ball moves, the colored balls in the ball are also influenced by the water in the ball. Especially when moving quickly in your hands or rolling over the ground, this gives funny effects. The balls also sometimes seem to get bigger or smaller while moving.
