Exercise for Concentration and Brain Cooperation
The lying eight, also called lemniscate, lazy eight or Tibetan Eight, is an infinite movement that has no beginning or end. The game is held with both hands and not only trains the cooperation of the hands, but also of the two hemispheres of the brain, which has positive effects on concentration, emotional balance and automation.
By moving the game with gentle movements from front to back and from left to right, the ball follows the path without falling off. Rolling a marble along the track and following it with the eyes without moving the head helps both hemispheres of the brain to work better together, which provides support for dyslexia, PTSD and other brain functional complaints.
You can also place the figure eight on a table and gently push the marble into the circles with your finger, crossing the midline of the body – a valuable exercise for promoting brain integration and focus.
