The General Purpose gripping aid is essential for a wide range of tasks – at home, in the gym or in everyday life. Whether you have had a stroke, suffered a spinal cord injury or have another condition that reduces your hand function, our assistive devices can make many activities possible for you.
The gripping aids work by tightening the band in the upper portion, which gently pulls the hand into a fist shape and thus adapts it to hold items in the palm. What size General Purpose gripping aid should I buy?
Most adults find that our 'Standard' size fits them. However, gripping aids are also available in 'Small' (for adults with particularly small hands and children over five) and 'Large' sizes. For children under 5 years old we have the General Purpose 'Mini' size. View the size chart above to see which size suits you best.

Made of strong material:
Active Hands aids are both skin-friendly and durable. The aids are made of sturdy webbing and comfortable but durable neoprene (wetsuit material). They are designed to withstand regular use, even during strenuous activities. All aids are machine washable.
